The beaches with the soft surf of the Caribbean Sea are alternately provided with cliffs, rocks or partially snow-white globular stones who create a marvelously romantic sight.

A few kilometers further inland you find a steppe-like terrain and finally deserts covered with cactuses.

Excursions to the sandy beach of Cabo Rojo or the busy beach of San Rafael with its typical seafood restaurants and the fresh water inlet which gives the water its incomparable turquoise color.

The wares-market close to the frontier of Haiti is also worth a trip. Lots of merchants and artists offer their goods here. You must have seen this busy confusion of activity.

A trip to the Lago Enriquillo will show you the world’s only salt watr crocodiles in the wild.

Flamingos, huge iguanas and a lot of things more will turn this day into an unique experience.
